February 6-8, 2015 First Friday Art Walk Weekend

Welcome to the February 2015 Art Walk Weekend "Event Blog Post".

Every month our Art Walk Etsy Team (AWETeam) hosts this online "Art Walk" by creating a discussion thread over on Etsy where our team members can show off a bunch of listings from their shop.

The idea for this team began back in June 2009 as a way to give artists selling their work on Etsy a place to come together online, as people do in small communities all around the world. Many small art communities have a live First Friday, Second Saturday, or similar event where galleries and shops host an opening, sometimes with wine and light food, to celebrate the opening of a new line of work by an artist or group of artists.

As technology changes, our team is using the tools given to us through Etsy, and social media to help promote this event and each others work through social media. The Arts and Artists can use your help to also promote this event and our work if you are able.
